Alpacas as an
investment?
Sometimes people cannot get over what we pay for alpacas ... its all in the way
you view things ...
-
People spend $60 to
$100+ on a pair of shoes simply because they feel good.
-
People spend $500 to $1000 on weekend fun with nothing to show for it once its
over.
-
People spend $10k on a nice vacation without thinking twice.
-
People spend $30k on a car which loses 20% of its value as soon as its driven
off the lot. No complaints!
-
People spend $90k on a yacht which loses 30% of its value as soon as its
delivered. They pay for storage, gas, dock space, and only use it 2 or 3 weeks
each year. They don't complain about the investment value either.
-
People spend $100k on a cabin or cottage that only gets used a few weekends a
year. A lovely get-away!
-
But money spent on alpacas should be purely for the love alpacas. If you make
money, great. If not, most likely you will be no worse off than when you
started, and you will enjoy them every time you gaze out in your pasture.
